Sawsan / We Saw
Sand in the eyes of a woman with broad spans of vision / In all,
she is a mother with a strong stance in Living / A spiritual
being / A miracle worker on canvas, to hear of a dream / The
paint on her brush leave colors in the sky of the darkest day /
As Iraq died in a stark dismay / She brought it back to life /
For her drawings to sacrifice / her heart for our lost souls in
the afterlife / Pass the light, Moon / despite impending doom on
our nation / We suspend our soon come future with your creations
/ Red for revolution, Green for energy / Blue for riches in the
soul of this Queen's entropy / nurturing the world with her care
and her need
To speak the truth, but nothing compares to her seeds of thought
and labor / She brought us flavors of our motherlands smothered
plan / And showed us the brightness in the blinded path of a
brother's hand / So sight be strong, and aware of their plights
withdrawn / She is a mother, a daughter, a painter and a Life in
all / A teacher, a wife, we reach for your might / And pray to
skies, this way we can meet the gratitude of your hazel eyes /
Um'ati, you bring harmony to Earth, and your work will withstand
against time. |
